Czechia withdraws from Eurovision 2027

Czechia will not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 after Czech Television confirmed its withdrawal.

Czechia has officially withdrawn from the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) confirmed that it will not participate in next year’s contest, citing financial pressure and budget considerations behind the decision.

The European Broadcasting Union has also confirmed Czechia’s withdrawal.

Czechia’s absence currently applies to Eurovision 2027, with the broadcaster not ruling out a possible return to the competition in the future.

Czechia first competed at Eurovision in 2007 and, after several years away from the contest, returned in 2015. Since then, the country has achieved several notable results, including Mikolas Josef’s sixth-place finish with “Lie to Me” in 2018.

The withdrawal means Eurovision 2027 will take place without Czechia in the line-up.
